Welcome to the first edition of the JSBTC (Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temples of Canada) Newsletter!

One of the initiatives of our Board of Directors and our Communications Committee this year has now come to fruition. We wanted to improve our communication with JSBTC Member Temples and congregations across our vast country of Canada and to try to bring everyone closer together by sharing information and in the sharing and spreading of the Dharma.

 In this edition, among the things you will see and read about are relevant and interesting information about your JSBTC, local temple news and updates about Member Temples, how dedicated members Tanis Moore (Manitoba Buddhist Temple) and Dr. Roland Ikuta (BTSA) participated in an LDC sponsored workshop on Tokudo Preparation at Calgary Buddhist Temple and a very poignant profile on our first “Living Treasure of Canadian Jodo Shinshu Buddhism”.

 We encourage you to advise us of news items and updates from your local temple and other interesting matters from across our Canadian Kyodan. It is our hope that this JSBTC Newsletter is shared with your sangha. We hope that you enjoy our first edition!
